Support

Answers to common questions, and a real person when you need one.

Need help? Email support@digicove.app. Please never send passwords, card numbers or other vault contents — we will never ask for them.

Getting started

Do I need an account?

No Digicove account is needed. The first time you open the app you create a vault with a name, an email address you'll sign in with, and a master password. The vault is stored in the iCloud of the Apple Account signed in on your iPhone.

What should I put in a title?

Something you'd recognize, like "Passport" or "Home Alarm". Keep the secret parts — numbers, codes, passwords — in the fields below the title. Fields are encrypted by Digicove; titles are protected by iCloud's own encryption instead.

Sharing with people you trust

How do I share my vault?

Go to Settings → Manage Users and add the person. Digicove then offers to send them an invitation by Messages, Mail or a link. Sharing is part of Digicove Family.

What does the other person need?

If the invitation link doesn't open Digicove, install the app first, then tap the invitation again.

Does the person I invite have to pay?

No. The person who owns the vault pays for Family, and everyone they invite gets the Family features free.

Can I keep some things to myself?

Yes. New folders start private. To share one, edit the folder, turn on Share This Folder and pick who it's for. Admins can always open every folder.

Passwords and security

I forgot my master password.

An admin in your vault can set a new password for you in Settings → Manage Users. If you are the only admin, your vault cannot be recovered. We never hold your key, which is what keeps your vault private — and why we can't unlock it for you.

How do I turn on Face ID?

Go to Settings → Security and turn on Unlock with Face ID. You'll be asked to confirm with Face ID once.

How do I lock the vault right away?

Tap Lock Vault Now in Settings → Security. Digicove will wait for you to choose Face ID or your password before unlocking again.

Devices and your data

Moving to a new iPhone

Sign in to the same Apple Account on the new iPhone, install Digicove, and sign in with your vault email and password. Your vault syncs down from iCloud.

My changes aren't showing on another device.

Check that both devices are signed in to iCloud and online, then pull down on the vault list to refresh. iCloud decides when to sync, so changes can take a minute to arrive.

Exporting everything

On the Family plan, a vault admin can export the whole vault in Settings → Admin Tools → Export All Data. You get one CSV file per category plus your attachments, in a single zip. The export is not encrypted, so store it somewhere safe and delete it when you're done.

Deleting your data

Delete items in the app and empty the Trash. To remove everything Digicove keeps in iCloud, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Digicove. We store none of your data, so there's nothing for us to delete.

Subscriptions

Restoring a purchase

Open Settings → Subscription in Digicove and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the Apple Account that bought it.

Canceling

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or tap Manage Subscription in Digicove. If you cancel, nothing you've already stored is deleted.
